Legal Question in Family Law in India
I have filed a Dowry case against my in-laws and the in-laws have applied for anticipatory bail.
My Question is that is it neccesary as per law for a Lawyer to argue on my behalf. One of my cousin sister has good communication skills and can present the case better and I can rely upon her BUT she is NOT a Lawyer. Is she eligible to argue on the anticipatory bail with logical reasoning or does the law mandates only a lawyer with LLB or equivalent degree to fight the case. Thanks

A lawyer may not be required. However, you cousin may not be entitled to address the court as a matter of right but may assist the court after seeking prior permission. In any case, you are entitled to present your case "in person" without engaging a lawyer.
you can present your case in person but your cousin has to seek permsision of teh court only then she may be able to address teh court
it is advisable that you hire a lawyer for the purpose of addressing the arguments and citing the law and your cousin may assist the lawyer. this would be the safest way out.
