Legal Question in Family Law in India

I filed Dowry and misapprobration of Stridhan case (406, 498A) on my In-Laws and husband. Upon filing of FIR my husband and in-laws applied for an anticipatory bail in District Court. My In-laws got the bail whereas the anticipatory bail of my husband got rejected.

Now my husband has applied for bail in High Court for which the hearing is next week. My Question is till the time first hearing of anticipatory bail happens in High Court. can my husband be arrested or once he has filed the bail in the HIGH Court that is enough and it means he cannot be arrested now.

Normally police will not arrest if they are told that anticipatory bail is pending in High Court, but they will verify and also will follow up as it would be only a short while before such a case is disposed of.

He may be arrested. Police is not prevented to arrest him as per law but as replied by Mr.Srinivasan, police usually waits for the disposal of anticipatory bail.

Depends upon "efficiency" and "motivation" of the local police.
