Legal Question in Family Law in India

I have filed petition for divorce in Calcutta and my wife filed petition for grant of maintenance u/s 125 before Family Court in Mumbai.

I said that I have never married her and she is not my wife. My lawyer says you cannot take two opposing stands.

How can I get rid of this problem

in case you have already admitted marriage, then how can u deny it...however, i would like to go through the petitions.
