Can fir498a can be quashed without the wife knowledge and intimating her and if 498a case goes on were will it go on high court or lower court

the f.i.r cannot be quashed without wife s knowledge as she is the interested party and you need to implead her as a party in your petition. when the case proceeds, the magistrate will take cognizance of the same and not the high court.

FIR certainly cannot be quashed without seeking wife response on the petition for quashing. High Court would serve notice of your petition to quash upon the wife.
