Legal Question in Family Law in India

my freind is hindu.marriage regstered.

my freind filed DV against hubby and inlaws after many years of living seperately from husband because she was afraid of them.

for many years she is not allowed to go back to husband who lives abroad as he refused to sponsor her visa.she also faced cruelty at their hands.

i read in papers that judges senselessly dismiss DV petitions wthout bothering what impact can be there on victim who may not have complaint because of fear of inlaws or due to other rreasons.

i want know:

1. under what conditions/guidelines can a woman's DV complaint get dismissed?

2. does she stand chance of gettng justice under DV now?she is completely shattered.

It is a myth that DV complaints are dismissed senselessly. The victim may file a complaint ALSO with local police under section 498-A of IPC and pursue her remedy properly.
