Legal Question in Family Law in India

My friend filed mutual divorce in may 2010. their final hearing was in nov 2010. however on final hearing day the boy and his relatives refused to hand her back her belongings saying they will return after the decree comes. Even when requested to give her belongings after she has made the statement in front of the judge they refused giving silly reasons as the relative's wife had the key to locker and she had gone shopping without mobile.

The relatives looked suspicious so my friend did not attend the hearing even though she was in the court premises.

My friend is now confused what next step to take as she has very strong doubt that the boy and his relatives dont want to return her jewellery, which is worth a lot, back to her.

PS: my friend has not asked for even one paise of the husband's money or jewellery.

Please advice.

was this condition not mentioned in the petition for divorce? such settlement is done before filing the divorce n not after it. however, she may point to the judge and judge may direct the return of articles.
