Legal Question in Family Law in India

One of my friend is in love with a girl and both have decided to marry. Girl's parents are not ready for this. My friend and the girl have decided to marry anyhow even though they need to run away from the home. Girl's parents are saying that they will go to police if something like this happens. What are the options in front of my friend to get married with the girl without getting caught in any legal action. They both are above 18 .

its better to go and have court marriage ... or do marriage in arya samaj mandir..
