Legal Question in Family Law in India

My friend who got married in Aug 2009, just lived 29 days with husband and he left abroad for work. After that Mother in law started giving mental harrasment and demanding for dowry, when told to husband, he was not ready to listen his wife whats happening between them. After one year he turned to India, but that time wife was driven out putting lots of silly family matter and family members called for meeting, that time mother in law didn't disclose anything about her demands from them. After one month again mother in law driven my friend out demanding if she brings cash then only she will allow her to live with her son. My friend, now staying with his mother who is aged. Before her marrige she was working and now she is blank as what to do, even husband is not talking to her at all. His sisters and mother all given him the wrong statement about my friend, which utterly false statement, as I know her very well. After my friend family members spoke to her mother in law and her husband, they bluntly said they don't want my friend any more, because she is from the poor family, they want to re-marry with the girl from well to do family. My friend filed a case against her and her husband. her mother in law has come out on bail now and he is still staying their in Myanmar. this company HO is in Kerala, and this people are not disclosing when he is returning to India. The local police station says its a long process to him custody as the case has to go thru central government. What will be her further step now, she still wants to live with her husband, and her mother in law are insisting for divorce. How she will manage for her needs now, after marriage she is not working. what she has to do now. pls help her out in giving the right suggestion as she doesn't have any kind of support from anyone. She doesn't have father nor brother. Thank U.

Sorry to read the sad state of your friend. You can tall your friend not to worry because she can file a petition before the court for interim maintenance and residence without giving divorce under the Domestic Violence act.
