My friend married on june 2009 in mumbai.she want divorce on the ground of cruelty n insanity.she was living with hubby at pune til september.Now she came back at mumbai at her mom"s place.he oftenly beat her.he make scene late night.she have not filed FIR.He threaten to kill her.so when she can file application for divorce?

She cannot file for divorce before expiry on one year from date of marriage. However, she may file a compliant under the Domestic Violence Act, and also before the Women's Cell.
