Legal Question in Family Law in India

my friend's husband beats her,threaten her,he use abusing and vulgar language in front of her and his adopted daughter.my friend complaint against him at police station.after that they both came to the police station and there my friend's husband gave them in written that,"he would not do it again"...

now he has started all these above mentioned things(in 1st line).

she wants to take divorce, but he is not ready to give her divorce..

so, what should she do????

she may file a petition for divorce and/or resort to a complaint under domestic violence act.

She should seek his criminal prosecution for "cruelty" and "domestic violence".
