Is it possible that grandfather can apply custody of granddaughter ??? or under which section ?

Even if natural guardians or parents are alive, grand-parents may maintain an application depending upon facts of the case. They may need to establish that child's parents are unfit to be 'guardian' and that it will be in the interest of and for welfare of the child that they are more suited to be appointed guardian.
