Legal Question in Family Law in India
My grandfather died without writing a will.He left 3 son , 1 married daughter and wife behind.Most of the property is his self acquired.After his death all the son starting fighting among themselves. One of the uncle even started torturing the grandmother and claims that all the property is ancestral one.My grandmother finds herself helpless. Please advise

You may file a civil suit for partition of the property amongst legal heirs of the deceased.

grandmother, three sons and married daughter, all of them have an equal share in the self acquired property left by grandfather. the ancestral property needs to be divided by metes and bounds amongst all the legal heirs.
