My H1 husband has deserted me and staying alone in US. He has not renewed my h4 also. I would like to ask that can he take advantage of this situation and claim himself as Single and get engaged any activity for single(unmarried) persons in US. If he does so what step/s I should take while staying in India.

well if he claims himself as single without divorce, from India your only option will be to write to Indian embassy in USA making your complaint under Domestic Violence Act and also under IPC. You may also make a complaint here with the local authorities. You have the option of writing to Immigration Authorities.
