Legal Question in Family Law in India

Harassing Wife has filed RCR.

My wife has harassed me in the past with her suicide attempt and running out of the house for no good reason for long periods. Now she has filed RCR.

I don't want to take her back since it is risky.

1. What is the best strategy I should employ to not take her back and avoid alimony altogether or in the worst case pay reduced alimony?

2. Can lawyers help in negotiating reduced alimony in out of court settlement if she is not agreeable for mutual divorce? I am not interested in fighting lengthy court cases.

Re: Harassing Wife has filed RCR.

1. You may need to change your attitude and try to behave in normal manner.

2. No. lawyers may not help you in this situation.

You should better consider an amicable out of court settlement and try to avoid litigation as also avoid breaking your matrimonial home.
