Legal Question in Family Law in India
Hello,
I would like to file for judicial separation in India. I was told that after 1 year of judicial separation, court will ask me if I want a divorce. If I do not want a divorce and want to live in judicial separation forever, is this possible? Of course, my husband can always file for divorce. But if that does not happen, can I live in judicial separation for as long as I want?
Thank you for answers.

in case the judicial separation is mutual, there is no bar but in case a decree is pronounced for judicial separation upon the petition of one of the spouse, then it may be challenged.
