Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hi,

Before 3yrs I met a girl online , we had friendship & thought of marriage. But as days passed I understood we are not compatible for each other. There used to be lot of fights between us. She always talked about separating me from my family. Her family along with her force me stay in her native place after marriage. Later on we stopped talking to each other. Many times we had break ups. She did two engagement without informing me. Later on her engagement was broken. Now she wants to marry me & I m not interested. So she is harassing me by saying that she will do sucide & file cheating case against me. Kindly suggest what shall I do?

you may file a private complaint before the magistrate u/s 200 of crpc u/s 506 stating that the girl is criminally intimidating you for marriage. but before that, try to pacify the girl through elders of your family.

if she is not your married wife file a complaint in the competent court of the area stating abt the facts.

You can directly file a case for criminal intemidation under sec.506 Indian penal code.
