Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hi,

I am looking for an advice on divorce. My brother got married in early 2012. During different rituals in marriage ceremony, we came to know that girl's behavior is not proper but since everyone noticed at different time, so no one discussed it openly and marriage took place. On the first night, girl told that she does not wanted to get married but it happened. Next day when we came to know about this, we asked her parents to come and took the girl back (but due to some fear or other social reasons we did not told them the concrete reasons but simply asked them to take the girl back and drop after 7 days). Later on when we told about this to girl's parents, they started fighting and abusing us. The girl also turned down all the things that she did and told during marriage rituals as well as to my brother.

We even had 2-3 meetings with gril as well as her parents but the girl always accept the wrong doings in front of my brother but never in front of her parents. Now even though the girl is living with her parents but they are simply refusing to give divorce and even telling us that they can go to court.

For your information, we have not asked for any dowry but they gave some white goods during Sagai which are still in packed state. Also we have not yet filed any case in court.

Please guide us through this difficult time since being honest and truthful is not helping us.
