Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hi,

I am from Bihar and a Bhumihar, a sub-brahmin caste and I am planning to marry a guy, a Kashmiri Pandit. What are the legal complications involved since my is not supportive and in fact threatening. I would like to know the exact threat or harm which can occur to us. Since Hindu Marriage Act 1955 does not extend to J&K.

if the young man is staying in Bihar, you may marry under the Hindu Marriage Act.
