I have filed 498(A) in 2007 but i don't have much knowledge.please tell me the details that when will 498(a) get dismissed. it about three years. i don't have any idea. in spite of filing 498(a) my husband performed second marriage the worst thing is he did not divorce me.

they are harassing me. they have political connection and they are rich.

every one is supporting them.

is my case still running without my presence. i don't have any idea about the case. just i wanted to know without me can proceedings are running. or my case is dismissed. i want to know on what grounds 498(a) cases get dismissed can cases be start without the complainant presence. please clear my doubt.

i am in confusion. Please clear my doubt for god sake.

its better if you reproduce the contents of your f.i.r. u/s 498a. how can the husband marry without obtaining divorce and if he did this mischief, the second marriage as it is invalid in the eyes of law. you can file a complaint under the offecne of bigamy.

you need to pursue your remedies diligently and continuously. If you are unable to engage a lawyer, you may approach the local State Legal Services Authority to provide you legal help. The complaint u/s 498-A should normally result into his criminal prosecution; and he is not entitled to remarry without divorce; you are entitled to maintenance and support. you may also initiate his prosecution under bigamy for second marriage. approaching this Forum may not be sufficient. You need to take active steps to pursue your rights.
