Hi,

I got the divorce+child custody+child maintenance order on 29th aug2011. I will be getting the decree in 15-20 days. I had filed 498a against my husband as there was lot of physical and mental torture.

what is the procedure to remove the 498a case now since the order is passed. he is really pestering me, does he have to initiate the process or me. please guide me with the steps to dissolve the 498a FIR.

Your husband has to file a petition u/s 482 Crpc before the High Court for quashing of FIR and it has to be supported by you before the court.
