Hi,i filed 498a against my inlaws and husband.I want to apply for dv act.They are very well enough.They have joint property.Can i ask for property share in compensation.what are sections can i add in dv act.All my stridhan is with them.How much time does it take to complete.I was working berfore marriage. Can i recover those too.Can i recover my losses i.e stridhan and marriage expenses and loss of earnings quickly.Thanks .

you are not entitled for a share in property of your husband during his life time. under DV act you can claim your stridhan and marriage expenses and loss of earnings as compensation.
You are entitled to recovery of your entire istridhan (i.e. whatever your parents gave you and also whatever was given by your husband and his relatives / friends). You may also claim compensation under D.V.A.
