Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hi,

I have filed a case against my husband for Domestic Violence and claiming for maintenance. I am living with my parents now and along with a baby boy.

The case went on for 1 year and after the judge gave the order, everytime I go to the court to collect the order in TIs Hazari, I am told that my order is Reserved. This is happening since last one month since my order was announced.

What is a Reserved order and what is so special about the order that everytime I go I am told to come next time because my order is resrved

'order has been reserved' is a term that means that after hearing the parties, the court feels to go through the pleadings, evidence and for consideration of arguments and then pronounce the judgment. this thing takes time. However, since more than a month has passed, you may mention it to the magistrate and remind about passing of the order.

You may file an application in the court, through your lawyer, for inspection of file and note the order passed on the relevant date.
