Hi,
I have filed for divoce, child custody and maintanance. Also filed a case on my husband - section 498a. Now he wants to come for settlement. Once we agree on the terms and prepare consent papers what are the next steps. How much time will it take to settle the matter.

in case you both agree for a settlement, then time is no constraint. what sort of settlement u going for? living together or filing divorce by mutual consent.

You have to first prepare compromise deed in writing. Then you may get divorce or if want to live together then can withdraw your all the cases.

you can convert petition into mutual consent divorce so that within months you can get divorce.
you can after that withdraw 498A
