Legal Question in Family Law in India
Hi,
I got married 1.6 year back. After marriage we came to know that my wife was sufferring from schizophrenia ( we had taken her to a medical councellor for her hysterical behaviour) from long even before marriage and this fact was hidden from us. My inlaws had hidden this fact from us at the time of marriage. Even then we told them that we will get her treated with a psychiatrist to which my in-laws took my wife and my son(now 8 months old) with them and I am unable to see my son since the past 6 months. When I tell my in-laws to let me meet my son they tell me to come there only and meet my son and that I need not worry about his upbringing. I have asked them for a meeting for solution but they are avoiding even for a meeting.
1) As a husband what are my rights to make them come for a meeting and let me bring my son at my house??
2) Will I have to pay any alimony or maintenance to her even though I have been duped into this marriage??
3) Can I get the child custody taking into consideration the mental state of the mother?

in case you discovered that your wife is having a mental disorder, why you made her pregnant? it may be so that the erratic behaviour you talking about, is related to her pregnancy mood swings. now in case, as per your version, you crazy wife is not with you, what is making you worried. put the true facts here in order to get the concrete advice.
