Legal Question in Family Law in India
Hi,My husband is mistreating and abusing me since last 3 years..i had to leave my job to take care of my infant child..since then he has started feeling that i m a burden and not contributing anything..my father in law has always supported him...he is no doubt a very greedy person but he has started misbehaving more because of my father in law...he has also beaten me in past,abused my parents,fights with me more or less everyday, used to come at midnight everyday giving fake reasons of meeting,i also feel that for sometime he has been in a extra marital relationship but not sure ..thinks that my parents have not given him much and expects more and more on every occassion,festival....have also called up police 1 day but was of no help..i am now fed up of daily comments,humiliation and abuses.i dont want t0 break my marriage,also dont think that a discussion between both the famililies will be of any use...pls help on this...i stay in Delhi and is in a 6 years of marriage..CMS

Then what do you want ? Despite being beaten, humiliated etc up by your husband ,you have decided not to leave him. If you cant decide about your course of action i as a lawyer would not be of much help. You tell me that you need maintenance or residence or you want to teach a lesson to him without divorcing him, then in that situation i can be your guide to sail you through this difficult times but again you have to decide.
