Re: Hindu Adoption
For adoption, the child should be of age below 15 years and the age difference between the child and the taker should be more than 20 years. In the case of child disowned by the natural parents, the guardian can adopt the child but the adoption deed must be registered after duly signed by the witnesses.
Re: Hindu Adoption
Dear sir,
In reply to your question it is stated that there is no minimum age for adoption of a child but maximum age is 15 years, but this is not a strict rule if the child is above 15 years. If the adoption is made by male of a female then minimum 21 years of age difference is must between the child and person who is taking the child in adoption and vice versa the same rule is applicable if a female is taking a male child in adoption.A guardian himself can take the guardianship of disowned child by moving a petition in Guardianship court for taking the child in adoption. You may contact me on following no.& address for any other assistance/query.
Thanks.
