Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am a Hindu Boy. I have fixed my marriage registration date on 01 Dec 10 and accordingly signed a form and submitted the same to Marriage registrar. Now I do not want to marry that girl. Is there any chance of legal action against me if I do not turn up for the marriage. What action can I take at this stage If I do not want this marriage

before the date, withdraw your application after writing to the girl and the witnesses.
