i am hindu girl living in kota and married in gajiyabad, inlaws live in gajiyabad and banglore sometime but continuously talking with my husband by phone and we started to live in banglore and inlaws and husband started torturing me for money and flat now i filed fir through court u/s 498a,406 and my husband got bail u/s 437 crpc but inlaws are not arrested till now. and their anticipatory bail has been rejected from lower court and high court jaipur. my stridhan not recovered yet. now my inlaws are applying for bail in supreme court. now please tell me how will i get my stridhan and money which were given in my marriage by my father and police is not working and fir lodged in september.

498a, and 406 are for punishment. But, normally, as a condition of bail, the accused in laws return the stridhan. or else, you may ask the investigating officer to get the stridhan released.

recovery of stridhan and other belongs could have been done as a precondition for the bail of your husband. however, you may seek remedial measures under domestic violence act.
