I am a Hindu lady and I have remarried a Sikh gentelman. I have a son from the last marraige and I have his legal custody.
My husband would legally want to adopt our son and I would want to understand the process for the same.

there is no need of adoption as the Sikh Gentleman is the step father of your son. Adoption is not done in such cases and your son automatically becomes the step son of your present husband.

Your husband may adopt your son from your previous marriage only with the permission of child's biological father.
