Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am HIndu from Tamilnadu. My grand father has some ancetral propeertis. Some of the properties are purchased by grand father and grand mother.

They had two sons and one daughter. The daughter was married before 1956. In the year of 1960, the elder son exeecuts a rlease deed(registered one) in favour of my grand father and grand mother and he relinquished all the rights(by including the legal heirs of him. at the time his legal heirs are minor)from the joint family. At the time, the younger son who was my father is minor.

In that relase deed, he says that he is not willing to live with the parents. He likes to live sparatly with his family. And also says ther is no continuation to his heirs. For that he recivees an amount of Rs 1000 as compensation and relinquishes the rights from the joint family properties.

After that my father is living with th grand father and grand mother. All the proprtis ar mortgaged by grand father and grand mother by including my father as minor in the year of 1963.

My grand father died in 1978 and grand mother in 1992. The properties ar leased out to third person by my father. All the properties are govrned by my father till the date. The revenue records ar standing in the name of my father.

The properties are gifted to me and my brother through registered gift deed by my fahter.

Now thee legal hirs of th leder son trying to get the sharee in the propertis. Now my qustions are

1. It is possible to get the share in th properties(pleas give the explanation)

2. How much share is given to them?

The release deed signed and also the subsequent deeds pertaining to property must be studied to advise you.
