Legal Question in Family Law in India

My hubby wants a divorce from me ..2 yrs have passed i am living with my parents. I am earning 35k and he is earning aroung 49k. DVA ase was filed when he filed divorce, I also filed 498a and got my clothes and some furniture and teh jewellery given by my parents. Have not received my stridhan. Chargesheet is yet to be filed. I am 32 now and now i have also taken a stand that i shud not ruin my life for someone who does not deserve me. I was also humiliated, taunted on looks , job, family background. Eventhough I and my parents were better off than my in-laws be it financially or looks wise. Still i was ridiculed bec my mom-in-law always wanted me to handover my entire salary to her. They wud nt take care of my basic needs. How much money can i get as a permanent alimony. My parents spent 10 lakhs ib\n marriage..what shud i do..pls help. My lawyer got demotivated when my in-laws and hubby got bail. I do not think i will win this case..pls help

Bail is just an interim measure and should not be a factor for demotivation. You should continue pressing your claim for recovery of istridhan or else fight for their conviction in the criminal case.

Since duration of marriage was very short and since you are earning almost equal to him, the amount of permanent alimony may not be very high.

You should contiue pressing your DVA case.
