Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hubby muslim, self hindu married (by nikkahnama and sp. marriage act) in jan '90, d'ter born dec '90. after intense/severe physical/mental torture staying separate with d'ter since end jan 1995. Since then n till date he'z not supported by a penny till date. I want a legal divorce (without getting bothered by him with documentation) and also my d'ter to get possible suport rights - finance etc. Please advise procedure.

The divorce procedure for marriage under special marriage act is substantially similar to a Hindu divorce case in court.

However, legal right for divorce as well as child rights etc will be different. So contact a local lawyer for assistance.
