Legal Question in Family Law in India

I was hurt by my wife and inlaws and i have registered a complaint on base of MLR U/S IPC 323. Can i apply for divorce from my wife on this ground. Once a case if filed for divorce, can my wife still sue me u/s 498a.

498-A can be filed at any time. Try for an amicable out of court settlement.

you may apply for divorce and include the attack as one of the grounds of cruelty.
