Legal Question in Family Law in India

my husband deserted me in 2007, he made one attempt in 2008 for reunion, but i was adamant not to join him, as i wanted him to come back again, but that didnt happen, now he has filed for divorce, my question is will he succede in getting the divorce, and how can I join him, during mediation he flatly refused to speak to me stating everything is over
