Legal Question in Family Law in India
My husband died last month and all my household goods like T.V, Furniture, Fridge, etc. are in my father in law house.My sister in law says that I dont have any right over anything as I was living seperately from my husband for last one year. Even the LIC policies documents are with them .What can I do now ? Kindly suggest.

Are you legally divorced? If no, you will be entitled for all those things. Do you have any child to claim legal heirship in LIC policy? Pl note your husband may nominate any other persons name in the policy as nominee, but right of heir supercedes that of nominee.
Is you filed any divorce petition? You can claim all these articles as a matter of right file a police compliant and take help of an advocate to recover every articles from them and also share in the property if any available in your husband's name.
