My husband died 2 yrs back and I am staying with my Father-in -law in India (Shillong) . I have a 4 yr old kid . I do not have any source of income . What are my and my son's rights in my husband property ? And also let me know that if i re-marry i will hold the same rights or not ?My husband had the Insurance policy but i dont know who has claimed the insurance amount . How can fight for that claim ?

You and your son has equal share in your husbands property .
you may check with the insurer as to the claim was disbursed in whose favour and then you may claim the amount. regarding the right in property, if the property belonged to your husband, then you, your son, your father in law, mother in law are co sharers in the property. your son's right would stand even if you remarry.
