Husband filed divorce in US
How can I apply for a green card if I am in India and my husband in my absence has filed a divorce case in US court. will I get any financial assistence to filght againt him.

I reiterate that if you are married as per HMAct,the divorce even if it was decreed in US is not valid in India so you can file a petition under DVA.

You may file for a green card under a special category recently made by the US Government which covers "victims of domestic violence" like you.

yes, there is a scheme by the Ministery of external affairs GOvt. of INDIA, which provides 1000$ minimum as compensation to the women deserted by their NRI Husbands, the GOvt. also provides legal help to the such women to fight the cases filed by their husbands in respective country,
