Legal Question in Family Law in India

my husband resides in California n is a citizen. He has filed I-130 for me which got approved and i appeared for the interview in India in march.

Unfortunately, my case has been kept pending under 221(g) and they have asked for joint sponsor (they need I-864 & I-864 A ). Although the income which my husband showed was as per the 125% poverty guidelines still it was not accepted for unknown reason.

he has his recent tax returns also filed wich is also above the poverty guidelines...we just dont know why was it not accepted 1st time and also that we dont wish to go for a joint sponsor (which embassy has asked for now) although we do have one jointsponsor as a stand by..What is the way we can go with this problem of ours

It is uscis who has asked for joint sponsorship. I 864 and/or I 864A have to be approved back in USA and not here in India. in case, you want to know the reason, you will have to write to the office of immigration and they would let you know. Normally they write why are they asking for 864A. For how long your husband had been filing 1040 with IRS. Did he ever sponsor any one else?
