I would like to know if a husband and wife are staying together and if things doesnt work out to be good and quarrels betn the couple. can they go for a divorce. What if the wife is not ready for the divorce. OR Mutual understanding. What are the procedures??

you can either apply for divorce on the grounds of cruelty or wait for the government to amend the law and include irretrievable breakdown of marriage as a ground for divorce.
if both parties are ready then mutual divorce is possible otherwise you have to apply and contest for divorce
