ignorance from parents hadicaped girl

I am 27 years old electrical engineer,when I was 3 month baby in burning case I lost my both the legs, I have two more elder brothers and due to shock that a girl is handicapped how she manage my mother Kill herself, then my father married to other women and me and one my brother went to my Father�s Sister.

But I am not getting any financial support from my real father I am getting married in Jan. and want to money can I court case on him for the money they have. Pls suggest.

No Aarti, you should not even think of being a dependent upon your father at this age.

you are 27, Electrical Engineer, thus adult and a highly educated person; without knowing your father's education and financial background, it is sufficient to conclude on the basis of your educatino that you are self dependent person.

It is a matter of great pride that despite severe handicap you could study upto that level. You are role model for the world. Please use your own strength to build up your life.

In law, a dependent/invalid child is entitled to claim maintenance from father if the child is unable to support himself/herself.

You are a dependent or invalid child who would need father's money or support in life.

If you consider going abroad for higher studies, there are lot of avenues available for you as it is possible to invoke provisions for scholarships in several good universities in the world including USA.

yes you can claim maintainence from your father

Yes, you can claim maintenance till you are married. However, you may also claim your share in your father's property.

Yes file a case for maintainence under Sec 125 IPC or under Domestic Violence Act
