I am Indian and adivorcee with 8 year old daughter in my custody. Can I marry an American green card holder and is it possible for him to adopt my daughter?

the adoption by your proposed husband is not possible as the biological father your daughter is alive. unless the biological father gives an express consent for the adoption, the same is not possible.
