Legal Question in Family Law in India
I am an Indian living in USA. My marriage lasted for 8 years. During the course of marriage he had many affairs, which I ignored since I could not prove, even though I know something was going on behind my back. His last affair went out of control, which was going on for 2.5 years where he completly stopped acting as a husband and I had to prove it by doing detective work. Then he started physically assulting me, where I had to call cops and get him arrested. Finally he filed for divorce and I was tired of him and got divorced. I have two kids with him and I have custodial rights on kids according to US laws and he pays some amount as child support and has visitation rights. No alimony is paid.
Now my question is, his parents are quite rich and have good amount of property in Bangalore, India, which eventually they are going to pass it down to my husband. Since my kids are minors, is there a way I can get atleast some part from them for my kids. His mother has some part of ancestral inherited property, other than that all the property they have is their own earned which is major portion. Please advice.
