Istridhan settlement

My sister's divorce is in progress. The divorce was initiated by her husband and after a long battle of avoiding the divorce my sister is finally ready to leave him since he was not ready to re-unite with her. I want to know that apart from istridhan what else can be claimed by the girl's family..ex. money spent on marriage arrangements etc. Also, the guy's family is claiming that my sis has already taken away the jewellery given by the guy's family which is not true. In such a situation what can the girl's family do? My sister is currently working and is earning approx. 25K a month.Pls help

The jewellary given by the boy's family forms part of wife's 'istridhan'; therefore, she is entitled to keep it with herself if she has got the possession; if she has not received it, she can claim the same from her husband and/or family at any stage.

Even though she may be employed, she may still be entitled to maintenance towards permanent alimony depending upon financial position and earnings of the boy.
