Sir, once the case is decided it becomes a public record and any one may see the file officially. if the divorce decree was recent one, the case file will still be with the court which granted the deccree. however if decree is old, the file might have already gone to the record room. In either case you may see the file without problem. All you have to do is to move an application for inspection which you may write on a plain paper with Rs. 5/- or 10/- court fee stamp. In case file is with the court you need the case number. But if the court says that the file has been transferred or sent to the record room then do not forget to take the goshwara number of the case from the court staff. Because in record room the file will be traceable with the goshwara number. You may note down any thing from the file on your own paper with help of a pencil and not pen. You may also apply for a copy of any document if interested. Good luck!
