Hello, i am jay, i am running through divorce case and alimony case ? we dont have any kids.my parents are depentdent on me,she being a graduate and doing job will she can claim the alimony ? how much should i pay as she is demanding Rs.20000/- and my salary with all break up is only 37000/- in which i hv recurring expenses like loan ,credit cards payments,rent and regular maintaince which comes to Rs.33000/-, In tht case how much should i pay her as monthly alimony ? till whn should i pay her this alimony ? i should pay her alimony after divorse or before itself as maintaince.? is there any specific calculation the court follows in deciding alimony ? once the court decides certain amount and later she gets married after that even then should i pay her alomony ?

there are no specific calculations and the cases are decided based upon its facts and circumstances. it is not alimony rather maintenance that is being paid every month. you may mutually settle the matter and by paying a lump sum, seek divorce by mutual consent.
INTERIM ALIMONY is some what we can say a amount provide for overcome litigation expenses etc by wife & same is calculated according to parties status , if possible seek mutual divorce it will reduce cost of litigation as well as time.
She will not be entitled to any maintenance from you after her re-marriage, if any. However, meantime, you should start payment of at least Rs. ten thousand per month pending any order that may be passed by the court.
