Kindly help save my marriage
I gt married 2.8 years bk.I have been harassed mentally for not bringing enough dowry and car from my parent�s place. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law have made fun of my looks, my abilities. My mother-in-law has many a times done my character assassination . I am quite beautiful as compared to my husband who is on the darker side but I never had any problem with that. My husband threatened to beat me and give me a divorce and all this was being done and said under the influence of my mother-in-law. I was giving a share of my salary to my husband but still none of my basic needs were fulfilled. Husband has filed a case for divorce after I filed a case in Women cell against him. The mediation failed and Women cell is asking me to file an FIR but this will make the situation all the more bad. Earlier I had filed a case in women commission bec i had to come bk in jan 2007 to my parents house because of their misbehaviour. My husband filed a case of conjugal rights in tis hazari and we united in sep 2007 but again everything came bk to square one. My mother in-law would not let my hubby cohabit with me and he wont show his face to me as he was in night shifts and wud sleep with his parents. Please help what can I do.

(1) You should have already filed FIR. Should not delay. follow their advice.
(2) You should file a case of domestic violence against all involved.
(3) Make good use of your education. Study the D.V.Act. Know your rights and exercise them diligently. You should not tolerate cruelty and wrong - doings.
(4) It seems they do not deserve you. It is not too late for taking appropriate legal action.
(5) do not fear for divorce; if you not at fault, the court is not likely to grant him divorce against your wishes.

after going through your grievances, it is clear that the root cause of your problem is your mother in law. but as per law, the husband is duty bound to support his wife, children and also the parents who are unable to support themselves. kindly mention whether your parents in law can take care of themselves. if yes, in that situation, the doors of court are open for you to take appropriate orders under domestic violence act and other laws. you may call upon me at 9811284735 in case require further legal assistance.
