Legal Question in Family Law in India

My lawyer filed my mutual consent divorce papers with some statements in it which are not true ( and i signed them completely trusting him)and whose intended meanings are detrimental to my future marriage prospects. The date which is given after 6 months for final hearing before Judge would be given on 18th July. I want to take back the petition from court before that but i am not sure my lawyer would oblige me there.

Is there anything i can do to make sure my petition does not come up for hearing.

Actually In a petition for mutual divorce such statement / allegations are not required to be made and you could have objected to the same before filing the petition and ask your lawyer to amend the petition. Now you can withdraw the petition.

You can inform the judge about your apprehension and i am sure the concerned would oblige you and will not pass any order detrimental to you now or later.
