Legal Adoption Norms

Should there be a difference of twenty five years between an adopted parent and adopted child for a case when a divorsed person has been married to another woman? If Yes, what are the option to consider the child to be legal . Please advice. Thanks

We first need to determine under which the parties are governed ?

If the parties are Hindus, they shall be governed by the provisions of Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956 and you may refer to the relevant provisions.
