Legal Question in Family Law in India
Is it legal in India to admit a parent into an old age home against his wishes.
My father is 76 years old & stays alone in a flat that is on his name & my name.
I am working abroad 10 months in a year. And my aged father finds it very difficult to manage at home alone.
But at his age he is very stubborn & is against going to an old age home, so can I admit him forcibly against his wishes for his own safety as his legal heir ??

He can claim maintenance from u if he is dependent on u and he has right to reside in the house which is on joint name and for further clarification u can contact m without any hesitation
you cannot do that as that may be considered cruelty upon him. better make his living comfortable at the flat.
Dear Bro, may be your view is good but you cannot send him in old age without his wish.
you may hire a servant for him. So better to give him respect and love.
