Legal Question in Family Law in India

live in

Is there any law under Hindu Marriage act that can stop a separated man (not yet divorced) to live with another unmarried woman without marrying her?

Is this kind of live-in-relationship punishable under court of law?

Re: live in

Live-in relationship has been recognised in India for the first time in the Domestic Violence Act; but that is only for giving some rights to the woman living with the man in "live-in" relationshp and not for the wife to restrain her husband from having such relationship.

however, this is a matrimonial offence and you may seek divorce and maintenance on this ground.
